SHRINK FILM
From the original PVC films offered in the 1960’s
to CRYOVAC’s multiplayer polyolefin films of today,
film technology has exploded over the past forty years,
and Van Alstine has offered new films as they have been
developed. Enhancing the shelf life of perishable foods
started the shrink revolution, and industrial shrink
wrap applications have grown every year. Soft shrink
films such as CRYOVAC’s D-940, have allowed the
use of industrial shrink film on products that were
once unable to be packaged in shrink film. Shanklin
has lead the way in developing shrink wrap equipment
that further enhances the use of shrink film in nontraditional
shrink packaging such as inner packs once done in the
chipboard. Van Alstine offers the full CRYOVAC line
of shrink films as well as other industrial shrink PVC
products.
STRETCH FILM
Van Alstine offers AEP stretch film as a stocking distributor.
Both hand and machine grade stretch films are available
in various gauges and widths. On site evaluations are
available from Van Alstine to insure that the stretch
film being used is giving the optimal value for the
types of loads wrapped. Companies wrapping more than
ten loads by hand per day may find significant savings
(material and labor) by going to stretch wrap equipment.

 SHRINK
POLY
The movement to save on corrugated containers has led
to the development of quality shrink polyethylene films
that over-wrap products, with or without trays. Bottled
water companies have seen packaging costs drop by the
use of shrink poly in replacement of corrugated. Van
Alstine offers the top brands of poly available from
AEP and Huntsman, as well as others. Automatic equipment
is offered as well as service for all shrink bundling
applications.
SHRINK BANDS
Van Alstine offers shrink bands both printed and plain
as well as auto and semi automatic application equipment.
POLY BAGS
Printed, plain, zip-lock, flat, gusseted, anti-stat,
